- How long do knotless braids last?
- Knotless braids typically last 6-8 weeks with proper care. We recommend moisturizing your scalp regularly, wearing a satin bonnet at night, and avoiding excessive manipulation to extend the lifespan of your braids.
- What is the difference between box braids and knotless braids?
- Box braids use a traditional knotting technique at the root, while knotless braids start with your natural hair and gradually feed in extension hair. Knotless braids are lighter, cause less tension on your scalp, and look more natural at the roots.
- How much do braiding services cost?
- Our braiding services start at $180 for box braids and $200 for knotless braids. Prices vary based on length, size, and complexity. Visit our services page or book a consultation for an exact quote tailored to your desired style.
- Do I need to wash my hair before my appointment?
- Yes, please arrive with clean, detangled hair that is completely dry. We recommend washing your hair the night before or morning of your appointment. This helps the braids last longer and ensures the best results.
- How long does a braiding appointment take?
- Appointment times vary by style: box braids take 4-6 hours, knotless braids 5-8 hours, and cornrows 2-4 hours. Longer lengths and smaller sizes require more time. We'll provide an estimate when you book.
- Do you provide the hair extensions?
- Hair is included in the price. We carry braiding hair at the salon, and you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer a particular brand or colour. We recommend Xpression, Kanekalon, or human hair depending on your style.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment for a full $50 deposit refund. Inside 48 hours, the deposit is non-refundable. We understand emergencies happen, so please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.
- Do you braid children's hair?
- Yes! We love styling children's hair. We offer kid-friendly braiding services including cornrows, box braids, and twist styles. Children under 10 may receive a discounted rate depending on the style.
